November 22, 2012, Rostov-on-Don hosted the First Russian Forum of Youth Entrepreneurship Leaders. The huge event focused the attention of the wide public on the issues of youth entrepreneurship and involvement of young people in business.

Youth Business Russia is participating in the large-scale international project and making its contribution in this broad initiative uniting 10 million proactive young people striving to implement and develop their entrepreneurial ideas. Victor Glushkov, the representative of the International Business Leaders Forum, took part in Global Social Business Summit held under the patronage of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus in Vienna on November 8-10, 2012. The special guest of the event was Queen Sofia of Spain.

Upon recommendation of the Moscow Government, Head of the Branch Office IBLF in Russia Boris Tkachenko took part in the research and practice conference Federal Purchasing System as Basis to Promote Russia’s Competitive Advantage and told about the expert examination of the respective draft law performed by IBLF. |

At the end of October Youth Business Russia takes part in a regular meeting of the working group for youth entrepreneurship at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Vorosnezh Region. The following day YBR Programme Coordinator Irina Gorelova wins professional recognition being awarded the prize Entrepreneur’s Support. |

The attendees were interested in the IBLF Russian Branch experience of building up cross-sector partnership. |

During the visit arranged to coincide with the ceremony of celebrating the YBI’s Best Entrepreneurs of the Year awards, a group of the Youth Business Russia participants held a series of negations in London and familiarized with the experience of building an eco-friendly recycling business in Scotland.

At the latest YBI Entrepreneur of the Year contest, upon tough competition with representatives of over 40 countries, the Voronezh Catron Chernozemie enterprise won the honorary award Environmental Entrepreneur of the Year.
