Boris Tkachenko spoke about importance of mentorship for social entrepreneurs
Boris Tkachenko, Head of IBLF Russia, spoke about importance of mentorship for social entrepreneurs at the round table as a part of the International Social Business Day that took place on June 25 at the premises of The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow.
In 2015, the International Social Business Day in Russia (28 June) included round tables, seminars, master classes and a festival of social-themed films produced with the grants provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The events on the agenda of the International Social Business Day were held in several Russian regions on June 16-28.
Natalia Zvereva, deputy chair of Steering Committee on Social Business and Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Director of Our Future Fund mentioned the significant geographical expansion of the events on the agenda of the International Social Business Day in 2015. “I think this year we can aim at no less than 25 regions and 80 events, involving over 15 thousand participants. Increase in number of partners as well. Being a social fund, we witness growth of the number of players in social business.”
Alongside with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the other organizations took part in the management of the International Social Business Day in 2015, including the Fund of Regional and Social Programs “Our Future”, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Russian Microfinance Center. The events in Moscow are supported by Moscow Government. According to established practice, the Ministry of Economic Development acted as the key government institution supporting the International Social Business Day. The other organizations involved in the International Social Business Day include Centers for Innovations in Social Welfare (there are 19 Centers in Russia now), educational institutions, social entrepreneurs, consulting and outsourcing centers of Our Future Fund.
