Discussion on Cross-Sector Partnerships

On October 13, a conference titled “Public-Private Partnerships in Addressing Development Challenges” was organized by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The conference presented USAID’s broad practical experience in establishing cross-sector partnerships in Russia.

Boris Tkachenko, Head of IBLF in Russia and manager of the “Youth Business Russia” program, presented an overview of the partnerships established between commercial, governmental and non-profit organizations in several Russian regions to promote youth entrepreneurship. Sergey Generalov, President of FESCO Transportation Group and Chairman of Advisory Council of the Program, and Michael Pugh, Partner, Hogal Lovells and member of Advisory Council, described their role in the program’s advisory council and the contribution of their companies to the program. IBLF’s experience in setting up cross-sector partnerships was of great interest to the audience, and led to a lively discussion.
