Representatives of the Leading Russian Universities Meet at the International Business Leaders Forum to Discuss Results of the “Business Ethics” Course Approbation

On September 23, 2013, the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF Russia) held the meeting of the teachers delivering the “Business Ethics” course in the leading Russian universities: MIRBIS Business University, Higher School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School, Financial University, International Institute of Management for Business Associations with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Natalya Markova, a doctoral candidate of the St. Gallen University (Switzerland) remotely participated in the discussion. The event was welcomed by a partner of IBLF Russia, Baker&McKenzie legal firm.

On September 2012, Rokhan (MSU BSch) and M. Jentile (Babson college, Wellesley, USA) on request of IBLF Russia and with the support of Siemens Integrity Initiative and UK Prosperity Fund.

A year later, lecturers from the universities that approbated the “Business Ethics” course exchanged their experience of teaching of the discipline that was new for the Russian higher education. The key discussion topics included issues of the student motivation to apply the knowledge learned during the course, approaches to the student attestation in the “Business Ethics” discipline, teaching methods and importance of using interactive forms, approaches to management of the student attitude to the issue of the business ethics and discipline. The teachers actively shared their developments and discussed cases from their practice.

During the second part of the meeting the teachers discussed the new initiative of the International Business Leaders Forum - the program “Trainings for Coaches and Teachers of the “Business Ethics” Course and Anti-Corruption Practices”. The participants of the meeting made their proposals on the program improvement and expressed their wish to take part in the first training to be held in November.
